Remerciements, Thanks, Agradecimientos,

Well done everyone, ¡Un fuerte aplauso a todos!

Many thanks to everyone once again! ¡Un fuerte aplauso a todos!

Yann MEUR,

Proviseur

DAY 5

Last day in Edinburgh

Bags packed, goodbyes waved to the families, and off we went for our final trip in the city.

Watch the video to see what we all thought of a traditional Scottish fizzy drink, and a heartfelt thank you from the guides at Edinburgh Castle.

It’s been a brilliant week in a fantastic city, with a very special group of excellent students!

And with that, the rain finally came, and us bonny lads and lasses headed for home.

DAY 4

« Twelve Highlanders and a bagpipe make a rebellion » (Scottish proverb)

Imagine how Arthur felt as 14 Highlanders (courageous students) and 2 bagpipes (noisy teachers) conquered his Seat this morning!

The sun once again blessed our group and we made the most of it with baseball by the parliament, and a beautiful walk to the Writers Museum.

Watch the videos to see if we have any fantastic authors among us now…

DAY 3

Today we spent wondering: are we really in Scotland?

The sun shone brightly as we discovered more of the Royal Mile, the Scott Monument, the Botanic Gardens, and the National Museum of Scotland.

Watch the video as some new, fantastic, tour guides give you the low-down on our day.

We all deserved our dinner tonight! And rumour has it, we’ll need a hearty breakfast in preparation to reach a certain Seat tomorrow…

We had an excellent day, filled with politics, discovering life in the olden-times, and a birthday girl.

But why take my word for it? Here are the travellers to tell you about their day…

DAY 1

« Welcome to Scotland!

We left Stavanger early and with a hint of clouds, but arrived in Aberdeen after a quick flight to sunshine and 10 degrees centigrade. We could get used to this!

The coach trip past some of the Bens (hills) was a lovely introduction to Scotland, and eating our lunch in the sunshine beneath the three bridges was a great surprise. Inspired, we headed to Portobello beach and gave Andy Goldsworthy a run for his money with our land art (see pictures).

Buzzing past schools which were the inspiration to Hogwarts (Poudlart) set the scene for our introduction to Edinburgh city centre, creating quizzes for CM2, and getting that all important selfie outside of Elephant House.

Everyone got to their host families safe and well, and excited about our second day in this fantastic city. »
