Halloween party
On Monday, October 31st, the Primary pupils gathered together to participate in a social activity and practise their English skills.
We listened and gave instructions to decorate cupcakes with icing and play games (bobbing for apples, put the nose on the witch, decorate the pumpkin, …)
We dressed up and organised a parade. The best outfits won prizes !
With CM1, we made up and performed poems to our classmates.
We had a wonderful time and hardly spoke French !
CM2 pupils
Poems:
Trick or Treat, Trick or Treat,
Give me something nice to eat,
If you don’t we don’t care,
We’ll pull down your underwear.
Performed by Celia and Clara
Trick or treat rhymes
Trick or treat, you’re so neat.
Give me something good to eat.
Nuts and candy, fruit and gum.
I’ll go away if you give me some.
Trick or treat, smell my feet.
I know you’ll give us lots of treats.
Not too big, not too small,
Just the size of Montreal.
Performed by Pauline, Nedjma and Julia
If you don’t give my candy
I bring your blood
Until you are flat like a pizza
Ow!
I miss one thing
The wizards are throwing
Fire balls !
Written and performed by Quentin, Theo and Gaetan
Let’s know more about Halloween
Our reporters from Year 8 wanted to know more about Halloween and its traditions. That’s why they decided to interview the little monsters, witches and ghosts who had a party on October 31st. This is what they learnt from them.
