Creating a Garden Mural as a way to leave a handprint for the the generations in the community.
The creation of the school « English Eco-Garden », a pedagogic garden has been a collaborative and educational process aimed at connecting students with nature through hands-on learning. So far, the project has focused on planning the garden space, preparing the soil, selecting appropriate plants, and actively involving students and teachers in planting and maintenance activities. Some of these activities involved creating of garden signs, garden poems/Expressions and a Garden Mural-These initial steps have laid a strong foundation for using the garden as a practical learning environment that supports environmental awareness, teamwork, and experiential education.
Creating of a garden mural as a way to inspire creativity, create lasting art through expressions and enhance learning through beautifying dull spaces in the school environment among many other things.
The garden serves as a « living laboratory » to skill students to learn practical eco-friendly practices, interact with their peers and express themselves with more « hands-on » activities.
The project has inspired students to design garden layouts, create labels, posters, journals, or digital projects connected to the garden, in a collective and innovative way.
