On Friday, December 12th, together with the students of the first-year English class at our High School, Henry Sylvoz, we put down their notebooks and played board games. We used English to communicate throughout games of Monopoly, chess, and especially while building structures with wooden blocks.

The goal was simple: to speak English to exchange ideas and learn from each other in a fun and different context than the classroom. The activity allowed everyone to practice the language in a concrete way and strengthen the bonds between students.
It was a speaking activity, one that fosters learning in an interactive way.
