On Monday 17th of June, we went visiting Zalau center with a guide from the tourist office.
First, we visited Transilvania building, a theatre remarkable for its paintings on the ceiling which is 300 m².
Then, we visited three churches, one orthodox, one protestant and one catholic. In the orthodox church there were many paintings on the walls and the ceiling. There were also many golden details whereas in the protestant church there was nothing on the wall or on the ceiling. It was plain white. There was also an organ. In the catholic church, there were statues representing Jesus and Mary. The people leave little canvases to thank the saints.
After, we visited the city hall. There was a garden with one big tree and beautiful statues. We also visited the meeting room named Avram Iancu where the council votes for the projects of Zalau.
