Our winter art projects for Art in English!
In our kinetic pirahna project, we learned about kinetic art (art that changes with movement) and created intricate patterns. In our cut paper tree project, we learned about complementary colors and linear symmetry.
The older children also worked on a holiday lights project where they learned about using value to create the illusion of shining light, and got to work with various chalk and oil pastel techniques.
Then in our watercolor snowflake project, everyone learned about radial symmetry and the effect of salt on watercolors. Last of all, I had lots of help decorating the windows with another set of wonderful kirigami snowflakes. These will all be coming home in the next week for you to admire in person!
