St Andrew’s Day

Wednesday 30th November
The whole school enjoyed a morning learning about Scottish culture and traditions. The children were divided into six groups across all classes, each named after a Scottish river. The groups took part in workshops related to Scottish dance, the kilt, food and famous Scots They also produced one collage which tells the story of St Andrew, and another displaying highland cows in a field of thistles!
The morning began with a live medley of bagpipe tunes, and ended with a rendition of ‘Flower of Scotland’.
A great time was had by all!
