CM1 visits Oor Cafe

Last term, we went to Oor Cafe (which means ‘Our Cafe’). It is a cafe which has banned plastic.

We met Rose (the owner). She showed us different things she uses now (on the left), and what she used before (on the right) which were mostly made from plastic. However, she has not banned all plastic, because some things do not have an alternative version.

She taught us about problems with plastic, and she said one of the things we can stop doing is using cling film.

We asked questions about how she runs the cafe, and if she has more customers now.

Then, we ate some snacks, and she gave us a reusable water bottle after.

We would like to recommend that you visit the cafe. (8-10 Market Street, Inside Village Market) d:-)    😀
